    turbo m20 fuel cut

So as I was driving back to Gainesville yesterday, something decided to fail 50 miles from my apartament. Basically it started out small, the car would run 13 afr while cruising at 75 mph. Then I started it would start to get a sporratic lean spike and the wideband would jump to 16 and then settle back down to 13. It was noticable in car as a "bucking" feeling. Then as I got closer and closer to arriving home the problem started to get worse until it was cutting out 50% of the time and reading in the 15-17s for the afr. Does anybody have an idea as what it could be? I'm going to check the fuel pump & filter, but some other people say it could be the TPS. Just looking for a few tips from people that have encountered this issue before. I don't wanna have to buy a new fuel pump if I don't have to:roll:

I would add AFM to your list too, unless you upgraded to a MAF.

Could be fuel pump, mines been having similar issues although not nearly as bad.
Im going to replace the fuel pump this weekend and see what it does.

Tee pressure gauge in and see what the fuel pressure is doing.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It's a retuned motronic chip. I haven't changed anything and all the sudden it's going haywire so I'm not suspecting the tune just yet. I am trying to save up for mega squirt though

I agree. I have had the fuel pump in an e30 go bad before and it wasn't similar to this. When it went bad it just didn't work anymore. This one kept working thankfully and got me to my destination.

I'll have to see if I can borrow one locally.

when I was on motronic I would have a stupid lean issues when my bov would creep open during high vaccum situation, it would progressively get leaner until I got on it and the throttle closed. not saying that is your issue as I dont know much about your setup but even little vacuum leaks cause poor running condition with a draw through setup, blow doesnt really care as there isnt much after it. and vaccuum leaks read lean with a draw through.

It was the fuel pump relay.
