I never bothered to verify but I assumed it was an ETA cam since it certainly isn't an "i" cam. We do know that the redline of the super ETA is slightly higher and that combined with the extra stroke could possibly be the reason for the extra 7HP despite 0.5 less compression. IIRC, it still only had the same amount of journal bearings as the ETA cam and used single valve springs."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

There were apparently a 4 and a 7 journal version of the SETA head, I have a 4 journal one I used on a SC'd car.
Idles smooth as a Cadillac lots of bottom and mid range but poops out on the top end without boost.Comment

You need to at least change out the headbolts if you are not going to pull the head, the old hex head ones were known to break the heads off the bolts.
Looks like a 7 journal head, you can swap the cam out and add the inner springs and you are in business.Comment
