    Front Driver's Side Clunking

Today, at a gas station, I bottomed out on one of the gas tank manholes and it made a dreadful scraping noise. I didn't really notice anything until I got home, and heard a constant clunking/knocking noise. I can hear it whenever the car is running, even idling. I listened closer, it is loudest by the front driver's side wheel well and is very pronounced right when you turn the car off. The best description for the noise is that it sounds like a belt tore and is knocking around in the engine bay. If anyone can come up with a diagnosis that would be great. Thanks!

Did you crush the oil pan into a rod? Doesn't seem likely, but it is possible.

I have a skidplate, but I'll take a better look at it tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!

Sounds like something got into the oil pan or perhaps the power steering pump.
