    2.7i Conversion......spark plug wires.

In the process of converting my 86es to a 2.7i motoronic 1.3.

The "i" spark plug wires that I've sourced are a bit haggard. The set I was running on the ETA are a nice 8mm set so I'd like to reuse them if possible.

Is there any reason why I couldn't just take the pulse generator pick up off of the "i" set and use it with my nice ETA wires? I don't see the difference.

    Thanks guys

    That should work fine.

There's really no way to get that thing off of the wire... but if you find a way that works, let us know!

Its offered as a separate part number in the parts catalog. The boot should come off somehow without damaging it.

Or maybe just cut and re-crimp it

If you can remove it good luck. FYI the car will run without it, mostly fine, some have a bit of off idle stumble. Basically only purpose is to fire the injectors in batches, removed it will simply fire them all at once.
