engine running hotter?

Hey guys my engine has been running hot at like 3/4 on the gauge but before this the needle was bouncing around stopped. now it just goes up to 3/4 drops lowly and up everyonce and a while. Used to stay below 1/2 any imput would me appreciated thanks.

Agreed. One is for the fuel gauge and the other is your coolant temp. Might as well do both while you're there. Take the nuts off, clean them with an old toothbrush and electrical parts cleaner, and put them back on as tight as safely possible.

I had the same problem as you OP, and doing the above fixed it completely.
