    Timing belt and water pump

Where's the best place to buy a whole kit and caboodle? And what are your tips for doing it yourself? All help would be lovely.

    Timing belt kit.

Hi I have purchased a couple of kits from F.C.P.com (foreign car parts) u can go online and check them out, if u do make sure to ask for the upgraded tensioner as they will send a cheaper one if u dont say something.
Also Pelican parts has a good write up on how to do this, its not hard at all and there is plenty of articles about how to do it, just take your time and it should not be a problem. I did mine years ago and never did one before on any car, so if u have some mechanical abilities is should be no problem, good luck!

I have never found kits to be a bargain, plus as you noted, you do not always get all the brands you want. Buy a Conti T Belt kit ($28), Conti belts (all 3 for $20), Wahler or Behr tstat ($20-22) and the water pump that tickles your fancy ($49-56).

Maybe $125 delivered and you get 98.3% of what you need.
