Can anyone run through the functions of the 4 different temp sensors on the '86 eta please? Did they really need four to do the job?
From some searching I understand one is just for the cluster gauge, one goes to ECU, one goes to cold start switch...?? I may be off already....

So, we're talking about items 12, 13, 15, & 16 on the diagram. The description from realOEM says:
12 - coolant sensor
13 - temp switch, water
15 - temp switch
16 - temperature-time switch (the thermo-time switch, correct?)
What does each do, does the Bentley list an electrical test for each, and is it worth just changing them all out at 175k? The parts sources sometimes contradict each other, or just list them by color.
We tested 15 I think, and the numbers seemed in range.
The noob thanks you!
