B27 and b25 are different. I don't know about b23 though. Check on realoem.com

b23 is same as most B27 (except SETA) and differs from b25

89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

All 3 are different actually. They will interchange though.
