rebuilding head: should I put new valves springs on 2.7 Eta head ?

my 87 eta head will be rebuilded soon by a machine shop.

the shop would grid the valves, install new valves stems, resurface, etc.

I just wonder if it's worth for me to replace all the valve springs since it get 220k milage on them.

should I consider double valve springs which occur on 2.5 i head??

    Thanks.

I dunno what your money situation is like, but there can't be too much difference in buying a used I engine and doing a quick swap, vs rebuilding an eta head. I haven't done either. I will say that if you're going through that much work, yeah replace em.

as long as the springs are undamaged, I wouldn't bother replacing them. springs don't really wear out (unless they are poorly made), and the ETA is such a low revving motor it shouldn't be a problem. keep your costs low since you're spending money on an ETA motor (or buy an i motor for ~$500 and swap it in like the above poster suggested).
