A counter hold tool bolted to the crank hub and a breaker bar (3/4" drive is best) and a pipe extension.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

My standard procedure is putting a breaker bar and socket on it and whacking it about ten times with a 3# sledge.

4 foot pipe with 3/8" plate welded on. Drilled appropriately and bolted to hub
4 foot pipe with 3/4 drive breaker bar and appropriate socket.

Squeeze together as hard as possible while swearing up a blue streak.

          Repeat twice.

          Remove tools.

          done
