    Thinking about a stock rebuild

posted this in regional forms for the Midwest and did not get much feed back so i am reposting this here.

Thinking about getting an M20B27 to put on a stand and rebuild then swap into my car but not to sure where to start. I am in Centrial IL and there is ZERO Pick and Pulls that I know of that would have what I am looking for.

I am talking about a complete tear down and never gone this far into the engine bay. SOOO I am looking for some "constructive" feedback on a good place to get started.

Also any one have input on what parts of the car you SHOULD NOT powder coat.

I.E. Calipers, suspension parts, steering rack...

Curious...If you are going through all that work, why not rebuild a stock m20b25 instead?

For my first one I figured a direct swap was the best bet. Guessing this way if/when I jack something, up having a direct point of reference would be a GOOD idea :)

I humored a top end swap or switching to a B25 but I was not sure if I was up to changing ever thing else out Just yet.

If i can do this and don't cause to much damage I will move up to something a bit more fun.

What year is your car? If it is a 86-87 you can bolt in a stock 87 I engine and you will be slot more happy with it. This is what i did and its plug and play and its totally better than the E engine.

it wouldn't make much sense to put a eta back in unless your looking for gas mileage
