Yes another one.... But with video

Its not an intake leak, thats for sure. Maybe bad o2 sensor? Maybe effects of a bad cat? Needs a valve adjustment?

Idle stays firm, almost feels like a misfire, new cap, rotor and plugs. I seem to smell gas too, but I can't tell where its coming from (not from muffer, or around the injectors/fpr)

How can you be sure that there is no intake leak? If you have not done a smoke test then you cannot be sure. 90% of idle issues can be traced to intake leaks.

Mostly because i'm confident that when I changed all of the intake manifold and related gaskets and rings, I did it correctly. Also I checked using carb cleaner on many areas that were suspect, and after a touch of blue rtv on the three metal angles that connect to the intake manifold carb cleaner didnt effect the idle at all. Yet no noticeable improvement.

      Any suggestions?

Since we're all really good at not answering what solves our problems on these forums let me say for future reference if you having the trouble I had in the video, get a new ICV. That is all. (as long as you dont have a vacuum leak.)

Told you it wasn't a vacuum leak.

Valve adjustment sounds like the gaps are way off or its just a exhaust leak its hard to tell from the video but still sounds like it needs to be adjusted.

Did you try a different AFM?

You're right valves totally need adjusting. Haven't quite gotten around to it yet.

In my last post I explained the drop in idle and almost stalling was due to a bad ICV, everything else is fine. I both cleaned and re-lubricated the old ICV to no avail, so I got a used one, and immediately the problem was solved.
