    M20 oil pump

    Where the oil pump bolts to the block should there be a gasket between the block and the oil pump? I thought without the oil could lead between the surfaces and create an oil pressure loss?

    am pretty sure there is no gasket on realoem parts list
    89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

      Yeah i checked there too just looking for confirmation with m20 rebuilders because my machine shop told that it was not a good idea and to make a gasket up?
