Thanks. Guess I'll have to grab a watch and see, hopefully I just have no conception of time and it's fine ... if not I'll have to start troubleshooting

one long start m20 fixed, many to go

ok, so usual issues, sometimes starts immediately sometimes takes 15 seconds of cranking, once it finally catches it runs like it has 3 1/2 cylinders for a while until you get it revved up and then its fine, i replaced my fuel filter, and after doing so i expected it to take a minute or two to prime the filter, first crank, half crank over it caught, no hesitation no stumbling, no driveability issues anymore, blew through the OEM BMW fuel filter, lol and it held air pressure, so id say replace your fuel filters ppl

I had a similar problem and I replaced my fuel filter and it was perfectly fine like 2002tiiguy said. And I got mine from oreilly auto parts for $5. Hope you got it running well! I know how it feels and it really sucks. My car wasn't getting enough fuel to the engine so it was jerking while accelerating now it's perfect and powerful.

            lol *bangs head on wall*

so, was running great, lotsa power, no hesitation, went to my cousins, car sat for like 5 hours, got back in, crank crank crank, Backfire, stopped, crank crank crank crank, stumbled to life, pulled cap and rotor (whoever put that stupid thing so damn close to the rad fan should be shot) they looked ok but a lil corroded, i used a lil sandpaper and cleaned them up, put it back together, somethings still off, gonna try a cps, and fpr next. When i turn the key to run, i hear a relay click on and then off, normal?

Some reason it's starting every time now, still a hesitant start but starts in a second or two.

I would check fuel pressure and volume output. If it's a weaker version of an or replacement it might just take longer for fuel to reach rail. Once it's running it runs cherry though?

Once it's running it works perfectly, it's just trouble starting. I feel like it's having trouble priming when you turn the key but not sure.

                    Long Start Issue

                    Bump starting back up again...
                    Replaced just last week:
-Crank position sensor (I tested mine with a multimeter and it was bad)
-Brand new OEM fuel pump for $205
Someone recommend something! I've even swapped my ECU out

                      May have a leaky injector.

I think the next 2 parts I'll shotgun in are going to be rebuilt fuel injectors and a ECU relay

If your rotor looks crappy or corroded I would try that next.
