    m20 turbo?

So i have an 89 325i and i was wondering if its a good idea to install a turbo on the m20 engine? If so any suggestions on which would be a better option?

Is it a good idea? It is the best idea

    Better option between what?

    To make it simple:
-m20 manifold adapter or m20 manifold
    -TD0620g turbo - HX35 cm^14 with downpipe
    -Megasquirt V3
    -Tial 38mm or 44mm wastegate
    -Synapse or Tial BOV

Those you can source yourself....to make it all work:
    contact DMS, Kamotors

Can you fabricate? If not, I would buy a "kit" so that you know everything from intercooler to piping to turbo/downpipe all fit correctly.

Just what is the best balance in power for an e30.

So these are the things I would need but I tried looking for them but couldn't find them. Is there a specific place where I can find these parts? No I can't fabricate

Very helpful threads and discussions. People say 350 hp is just about the max for a DD. Id say go for kamotor's setup, well priced, proven, and all there. Thats what I'd do if my car wasnt 5500 miles away from me right now lol

Research research and research man, I've been reading and prepping to turbo my ix for over a year now. There's a real good book you can get about turbos and I would suggest getting it, it's called maximum boost.

Well I will do my research and I will check out that book you suggested. I need to know what is all the stuff I would need to replace when putting a turbo on my car. Once all I know all the parts I can start looking into things to see what I prefer.

I know, I saw that video last week and it inspired me so much. Its either turbo or an s50 swap.

So a question, what is a good brand for turbos?

Dude. Seriously? They showed his turbo in the video, and he is a very well known member of R3V with a build thread. Why would you ever think its an s50 swap hahahaha

Haha, no I didn't think it was a s50 swap. I mean I'm considering between the turbo or an s50 swap for my car. Lol.
