Simple answer: Don't do it.

They require a heap of work to get "into spec" compared to a BMW head.

I've seen massive power being made out of an AMC head, but ymmv...

stock head is rubbish as above, can be massaged nicely though. plenty second hand candidates of the BMW kind available surely

has been beat to death.
i took pics to show both. running them in the same car i noticed 0 difference.
the amc head is a crap casting but for 99% of e30 owners it will be exactly the same as a 885 head.
