I guess this added to my confusion as to why I couldn't do anything. Trying to get a new one today.

always get fucked up. Just have someone push pressure while you tighten down or get a new one.

I'm getting a new one. I don't want that to hold the belt pressure because then it would be easier to slip up again and snap or lose another belt.

You could just get a shorter belt. That would bring the star adjuster back on to some teeth.

FINALLY. I have finished. This took waaaay too long to do. I'm lazy. and poor.

I learned that the only way to know what to do is to just dig in there and mess around.
I ended up stripping all the three adjustors :/ because of the grime and dirt and I didn't clean them before trying to adjust.

Since I removed the radiator, I also replaced all the coolant too. The old radiator got damaged I think by one of the belts when it snapped. It was bent and leaking. Got a good used one for $20. really good deal.

            I DID IT!
