    Oil channels in the head

So I fucked up and dropped a nut in my head and it went down one of the oil chambers, someone please let me know where the hell the nut would go from there? The oil pan? So frustrated right now

Try a extendable magnet to see if you can fetch it, put a magnetic drain plug in if not.

you can try to get it out but if you can't, I wouldn't worry about it. it can't get sucked into the pump, it'll just stay down there at the bottom of the pan.

so the last eta engine i rebuilt. they must have cracked the oil pan on. the screen for the oil pump was full of aluminum chunks. it had not clogged the pump tho.

I had a nut stuck down there for over a year. I got a strong magnet from Home Depot and stuck it to the steering rack to hold it in place. A year later and after a season of autocross it was still holding the nut in place when I went to drop the pan.
