    Ebay Timing Belt Kit...

I bought a timing belt kit for my car from ebay. Can you please click on the link and tell me if you would use it and or trust it. I need opinions.... I have already installed the valve cover and the thermostat. The parts are from all different companies and seem durable.

I think the tensioner and water pump is made by Victor Reinz. I know all the gaskets are made by Victor Reinz

the tensioners that look like that I've seen fail. the shaft of the tensioner is pressed into the bracket and it shears off.

They don't make either of those things.

Buy the parts from a reputable supplier that actually lists the brands they're giving you.

BMA Parts, Blunttech, Guten Parts, AutohauzAZ, eEuroparts just to name a few.

The tensioner has z 127 stamped on it though.

I actually think that kit is cheap for the amount of parts it contains. perhaps a bit too cheap - waterpumps are what, $65 these days? a conti timing belt kit is like $40-45. plus it has gaskets, a t-stat, the spring, etc. plus free shipping. they had to skimp somewhere to make a profit.

the pictured one does. but you don't know what you're going to get. it's a random ebay vendor - we don't know that the parts are poor quality but there's no way to know what they will send you. plus I don't think a stamp means much, it's not difficult to copy. if you go with a known reputable vendor at least you'll know where the parts came from and what to expect.

Ok guys I updated with pictures. The water pump is made in China. Everything else seems legit.

I would shop elsewhere unless you're scraping for 20 bucks.

Well I'm pretty sure all the parts are reliable beside the water pump
