M20b25 built top end over heat issue

Ok so I just built my m20b25 had the head built by a local shop here are the specs

    Shaved .005
    Bimmerheads 274 cam
    Hd rockers
    19 pound injectors
    Ports are polished
    All gaskets replaced vr gaskets
Brand new thermostate housing and 71 degree New silicon hoses New water pump etc

I bled the system the best I can. When I drive normal she's great no over heating issues what so ever. But when I get down on her she wants to over heat doesn't get too close but I'm not happy. Could there still be air in the system? Help me

My 1st thought is yes, you may still have air in the system. Make sure the heater is set to high with the fan on then look up the bleedin procedure that jlevie has posted 400x.

Following that I would check your radiator w an infrared gun. If it is original there is a very good chance its not up to snuff.

Other possibilities are timing (yes this can cause overheating), a bad water pump (even new ones can be bad especially if its from a local parts store), leaky head gasket (esp if you used a VR HG so check for cross contamination or exh gas in coolant) & missing radiator shroud (I went years before I figured that one out).

Checked the hg and its still good I can't use or fit the fan shroud bc I have a mish rad there is no room lol as well timing is spot on so really all that's left is air in the coolant
