I Own a 1987 325e 2 door 5 speed. The issue is that I am getting oil in the intake manifold, and I have no clue on how its getting in there. I have replaced all gaskets and seals on the engine and torqued everything accordingly; therefore, besides the intake manifold gasket itself, any thoughts?
I got valves that need adjusted still, but I don't think that's the issue unless someone else does. I am getting oil down the exhaust due to all of this and I found that this is why my exhaust is heating up. The most oil was in the elbow hose and throttle body. Its not a lot, but it is enough to notice there is a problem. The sensor under the throttle body is filling with oil and leaking down the block this is how I found the issue. Then of course I started taking things apart. I am getting oil out of the hose that goes from the cold start valve to the intake elbow.
Anyways, there is a problem and I am just not sure where to start looking. Still waiting on a mechanic friend to help adjust the valves, but maybe I can fix this issue before he comes.
I don't think the valves being on the lose side would cause this issue, but then again I am not sure.
Any Info would help.
Thanks
