i eventually want to do a turbo so i would be interested in doing it. And i looked i seta pistons and go crazy results. as far as technical terms what are they called? also thanks for your help!

so get cranks and pistons from an i model?

ya sry i meant con rods not crank. and i already have a i intake but the fuel rail on it has only the one hook up for all the injectors, opposed to my e intake and wiring harness that has individual hookups for my injectors. is there a way to get around that?

There is no point in just putting an I intake on an ETA engine. However, putting on an M20B25 head, intake, injectors, AFM, engine harness, and DME is plus.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

okay.. so trying to decipher what you said, i need to a new wiring harness in order to put a newer fuel rail system/intake on my engine. also no offense but not everyone is an expert so simplicity is appreciated.

If you use i rod you have to use custom pistons... And it'll make a high compression motor (like 10:1 iirc). This is because the i rods are longer than the eta rods.

Now you actually can use normal eta internals if your trying to make a 2.7i, it'll just drop your compression ratio to 8.5:1.

Honest if it were me I'd either think about building an epic B25, or go with a big 6/24v swap.

                        New help with my 325e!

Throw a billet crank and billet rods in it and rev the shit out of it, use HD or billet rocker arms, 288 cam. Or you could build a high revving/high compression stroker motor.

So just stay with the 335e block, intake, and head?

For a B25 Motor? No you use all i parts. If your building a stroker motor use an eta block with i head/intake. there are multiple versions of the stroker motor lower end.

If it were me and I was making a stroker motor, I'd throw a forged 524td crank (there was one for sale on here a couple weeks ago) and used forged B25 ("i" motor) rods and custom pistons, which will up the compression ratio to 10:1, and you can rev the piss out of it.

For the upper end, use an 885 head ("i" motor head) with forged valves, titanium valve springs, heavy duty (or forged) rocker arms, 288 cams, full port n polish, IE long tube headers, id do a 3.5 MAF conversion and 19# injectors.

That's just me.. And obviously without a budget. Or you could make a turbo motor, just use a different lower end.
