    Need helps 89 325is

Back when I got my car it had 2 busted rocker arms (didn't know it when I bought it)
I had to pull the head to get the rockers changed out, went ahead and changed the head gasket out as well. Changed out the cap and rotor, plugs while I was in there.

Reassembled everything, made sure timing was on and nothing

She will crank all day long but not stumble or catch.
I do know I have spark, as she will run on starter fluid.
I also know the fuel pumps are fine as I can jumper the relay and hear them.

The twisty connection under the intake manifold in front of the starter had some blue corrosion inside, did the best I could to clean it up.

I checked out the dme connector, and the pin outs, and when I jumper the pins for the fuel injectors I cant hear an audible click.

The fuse off the smaller battery wire in the trunk has been bypassed also.

CPS is sitting right at 550 ohms, everything else appears to check out perfectly, and the car ran pretty good even with the two busted rocker before tear down.

If you get spark, you should get fuel injector fire also. This means that injector rail connector may have connection problem.

What connector is for the injectors?
The blue and orange connectors are plugged into the thermostat housing. Am I missing one?

He is talking about the injector rail harness that plugs into the screw in connector under the intake manifold. May need to recheck it.

Yea main relay clicks on with the key,

The screw connection under the TB, c191 I believe. Mine had obvious signs of corrosion, blue goop and powder. Is there a way to test the connector itself with a volt meter, or should I just cut it out and solder both ends together?

Now that Im thinking about it, I was never able to get the intake mani removed from the engine compartment either. C191 I wasn't able to get disconnected, now that said. To wrestle the head in and out I did have to pull back on the intake mani pretty hard, I wouldn't doubt it if I separated one or two corroded wires in there.

So how do I check to see if I tore a wire or two off the top of the c191?

Plan with the car is to use it as a dialy for a few months, buy a beater then garage and spend some time getting the car into perfect shape. Head back down to the shop tomarrow and remove C191 entirely, see if that helps.

Besides what people have already suggested, make sure you have the two fuel lines plugged in correctly, as if you swap them you will not get fuel.

If you are sure you're getting spark, and you can jump the fuel pump, why not jump the fuel pump and try and start the car? That'll tell you whether it's a wiring or relay issue to the pump if the car starts. If the car doesn't start, you can start looking at the injector harness.

Ive already jumped the fuel pump and tried starting it, Im going to recruit some help with a stethoscope to make sure the injectors aren't opening. If there not opening Im going to use the multi meter and see if Im getting flow through C191 (at this point I think I severed a line or two in it) If no flow through C191, Im going to splice c191 out of the equation. Just use push terminals and some shrink wrap for now, get a nicer water tight connector down the road.

The car is at my cousins shop, been there for 2 weeks in the main bay with the lift. Its going to piss him off in short order. And were planning on moving soon, next place will have a garage. I just have to get this car moving asap.

I have a question about the C191 terminal, are the wires color coded top and bottom?

                      SHE RUNS!

two busted lines in C191, plus I had the fuel lines reversed.
                      Runs great now!
