Rewire the ECU for any reason

Hey guys just troubleshooting some stuff and wondered is there ever a reason a PO might have rewired the ECU? I noticed the loom going to my ECU connector had been unwrapped and there seemed to be some suspect connections.

I thought I remembered reading once that with a M30 AFM or something else you may want to "jumper" or rewire something going to the ECU. Or maybe it was if you remove the airbag?

I know with a Miller MAF and chip kit, one wire is cut and spliced to another.

The factory loom's not much to write home about, and there are splices in it.

The 3 or 4 I've messed around with all needed to be rewrapped, since the factory
covering tends to come off when you mess with it. As in, pulling and replacing the harness
will usually cause the covering to start to come off, even if you're careful..

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
