I want to swap a 325i head into my 87 325e

    I want to swap a 325i head into my 87 325e

    I did some research and I made a list. Correct me if i'm wrong lol

    -325i head
    -harness
    -ECU
    -HG kit
    -wiring harness
    -intake manifold
    -AFM
    -injectors
    -timing belt

      17 lb injectors would be ideal. I did 19lb and I think that was a little much.

      You'll also want the airbox I believe because mine was different from the i one.

      Instrument cluster would be ideal too. You can swap over the mileage gauge that way your mileage reads the same. I would grab a 325i/s cluster too, there is a little plug that goes in the back that allows the cluster to move all the way or something? I don't remeber what it does..

      Grab the hoses attached to the head and intake as well to make things easier

                  Head bolts, water pump, tensioner. Make sure you have the "i" throttle body.

                      go through this thread, tons of people, myself included have spent hours upgrading this, to help out people who are trying to do exactly what your doing

                      ...has a lot of little info that never showed up earlier in the thread as well as some big stuff.

                      basically your list will not work there are quite a bit more parts you NEED (never mind do it while your in there parts) and pretty accurate lists are already made on that page. goodluck
