E30 325I catalytic converter

Hi,

Is it possible to rebuild a model with catalytic converter to a model without?

I asume the exhaust parts will fit - but what about the oxygen sensor?

well just remove the catalytic converter any exhaust shop will be able to do it.

i believe the 1985/86 325i (europe only?) had no cat so there would exist an OEM exhaust system which had no O2 sensor bung, but you could install a bung if you wanted to run the modern Motronic

the oxygen sensor primary function is for the catalytic converter function and life so its not a necessity but without it expect economy to suffer a bit as stoic is a good allround AFR for light and medium engine loads and without the O2 then there is no feedback system maintaining it
