properly gaping the Crank position sensor

I know that the proper gap for the CPS (pulse sensor/crank position sensor) is 1mm +/-.3mm according to the Bentley manual, but how do you properly gap that? Obviously you use a feeler gauge to check it, but I don't see any form of adjustment other than leaving the 5mm screw loose.

    Any thoughts?

As long as the gap is not gaping...

            Is there a torque spec?

You have to warm it up before you try gaping it I guess.

There is some give to it. What I do is place the feeler gauge between the sensor and the tooth and then tighten the bracket onto the feeler gauge, once tight just remove the feeler.
