Proper holder/wrench for M20 TB service?

Are these ( http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E30-325....5L/ES2627584/ ) the proper tools to help with a TB replacement service, or do I need a thinner 32mm wrench ( http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E30-325....5L/ES2777702/ )?

Either will work. The wrench doesn't really have to be that thin.

Thank you. I saw what looked like a pretty normal 32mm wrench in one of the how-to guides but it was an old post so I could not ask any follow-up questions.

I always used a regular one that just barely fit.

HF used to sell a cheap set of wrenches that came with a 32mm - they weren't purposely thin of course (cheap Chinese crap), but it was perfect for that job. Alas, they stopped selling them before I had a chance to pick one up..

I got a Husky branded 32mm slim wrench from Home Depot that worked just fine. It was like $13 if I remember correctly. They had the regular thinker one and the slim ones right next to each other.

I'll check HD and the local bike shop but I have an order with ECS Tuning that I keep adding to. If I get close to the free shipping mark it might come out to a wash. It depends ds on shipping cost.

I'd pass on that ecs kit. The wrench is really short. You can get a hood setup on eBay. Just look up BMW water pump tool. There will be sets of holders and wrenches in excellent length for around $20.

Good idea. I tried amazon but not eBay. They run $28 shipped for the pair on eBay.

                  Thanks for the suggestion.

Honestly, I've always used an adjustable (crescent) wrench. It really isn't a tight space. Then just bake sure your belts are tight and smack it with a hammer. The shock from the hammer will break it loose. On a stubborn one once I used a giant pair of channel lock pliers to hold the water pump pulley. Wedging a screw driver under the belt can work too.

I got a regular 32mm wrench from Princess Auto and it worked just fine. Not thin in the slightest.
