524 ecu tunes? Or 173 f/s?

Hey guys this is one of my first posts so sorry if it isn't in the right section.

Anyway regarding my question; I have a 91' 325ix with a 524 ecu and I wanted to ask if anyone knew someone that would sell or make a chip for a 524 ecu. Last resort would be swapping it for a 173 which I can't seem to find one for under $70 but if you have one I'm interested. Thanks!

Guys like Jesse (sssquid on here) just make the tune for whichever ECU you have. Functionally, I think the 173, 380, 381, 524, and 525 are pretty similar.

Yeah I've seen a few threads about people putting like a 173 tune in a 524 but the results were mixed. I'll contact him.

They're all the same hardware. A 173 chip should work fine.
