One small thing that's been buggin me. EVeryonce and a while my oil pressure light stays on a little bit longer than it should. I start the car, and it's there for maybe a second, if even that.

It's a brand new oil pump - any ideas on that?

says the guy with what...120 or lower across all 6? ;) heh

Yea, I'm not TOO worried about it. The one thing I AM worried about is the possibility that some coolant got on my timing belt. There seems to still be coolant leaking out of my thermostat housing (is the gasket for that is wet...it's probably leaking...maybe?) And, I'm worried that's it's dripped in there. I'll probably pull some of that apart this weekend to take a look at it and make sure everything's fine.

My oil light stays on a little long on cold start-up in hot weather. Was running 10-40, switched to 20-50 no difference. I suppose thats what you get with 400k, but 160 psi on all 6 tells me to keep going. I was thinking about putting a pump in it, but Ill check the pressure first.

It was on for maybe 3 seconds today when I started ti after work. It's been sitting in the sun all day. 10w30 Castrol GTX shouldn't be too heavy for the motor, I wouldn't think!

I figure it shouldn't be TOO much to worry about as long as I don't revv the living piss out of my motor until it's wamred up a bit and oil pressure has built!

For those interested, I posted all the rest of the stroker installation pictures on my gallery, don't have time to add them irght now..need sleep! Check them out here: http://photos.e30driven.com/v/supere...enginerebuild/

I'l;l get them up here tomorrow or Thursday. I really need to figure out where my damn coolant leak is coming from!

Got my hood on tonight... It's nice not having it on though. It's like displaying what you've worked so hard on. But damn, the exhaust sure has a better note now! You can just hear the motor scream! :D Stock exhaust with a hole in it, it sounds pretty badass! heh

Wouldnt hurt hooking up a gauge just to be sure. Shouldnt be anything though.

Awesome pictures man. All I need is pistons and I can start building my motor. Quick question. Are regular eta rods and super eta rods the same?

Ahh! Someone has a keen eye!

Nice find there! I wondered if anyone would notice my installation of that. It's made kind of a mess of my hoses, but I feel it's worth it. I meant to get more pictures of my installation, but I was in the zone - finding a spot for it and everything.

I got my Oil Seperater off of an E30 M3. I got it off S14.net from a guy overseas. He sent me the seperator and the hoses. Funny part was - I ended up using a brand new STOCK breather hose to get to the seperator, then some extra hoses that I cut up - and it worked great! Like I said - it made kind of a mess - but it's tucked back in there, and as long as my hoses don't crack or anything, it should work fine. It'll only get a little bit of oil on the block if they do crack, so no bigger. Made my own bracket that mounted to the intake manifold bolts, and it worked wonderfully!

Tapped the oil pan, used the nipple (which I also got off of the E30 M3) and it's working good from what I can tell. I'll have to take a look in my throttle body sometime, and see if it's actually seperating.

I'll get the select pics in here soon. Just been enjoying my car, and being a little lazy after all my hard work.

                          Projects still to come...

                          FIX DAMN COOLANT LEAK! Arg.

                          Wiring my fan and V1
Some other body work around the car (rockers and shadowline - trying to decide if I should remove the undercoating and do ym rockers body color - since I'll ahve that rieger replica lip up front)

And, Will, glad you realized I was only givin you a hard time. ;) pretty amazing that your car still moves an alright pace! lol

I forgot that you could get one from those. i'll look into that, or one similar for when my next head swap gets underway.

Power is AWESOME! YES I have opened it up.

I haven't done any major shifting though...still doing the acceleration and deceleration.

I think I piss people off when I drive in front of them. I'll pull away...then slow down...pulll away...slow down. it's kinda funny.

However, I did do a quick shift from first to second today...and oh my god, it was frickin sweet! heh

I now have close to 450 miles on the motor. I need to have...I wanna say...at least 1500-2000 miles on it before I take my 1000 mile trip back to school - just to be on the safe side.

Unfortunately, I still haven't tracked down the coolant leak - but hopefully I can get that shit taken care of today!

I know I still don't have pictures up - just been busy! :D
