I've been posting here quite a bit and so far everyone has been super helpful! Ive run into one little standstill before I got my ETA car turned into a M20b25 machine :D
The engine harness and engine come out of an 89 325i. My car is a 87 325e. The C101 from the engine harness has some extra pins in it that the C101 from the ETA fuse panel doesnt have inserts for.
After researching this I've found that I'm missing slots for pins 8, 9, 14 and 15. I've found some shotty diagrams online but I really want to make sure I don't fry anything once I hook the battery up. What should I do about these extra wires/pins on the 89 "i series" harness.
According to the diagrams they are wires for:
8 - DME Cont/Idle Control
9 - Tachometer
14 - Speedometer Signal/ OBC
15 - Starter/ Unloader Relay
All of these things seem important so I'm not understanding how the old C101 plug from my 87 fuse panel doesn't have sockets for these pins/wires?
Any input on this would be amazing as its the last thing holding me up from starting her up :)
