    Emissions Help?

Hey all, I was curious if someone could give me some advice or tips on correcting what is failing for me on emissions. The first picture is my initial emissions test. My car is a RHD 325i so after doing some looking around, I found that it didn't have a cat....or an O2 sensor. So my second test was done after I had the cat installed, but hadn't installed the O2 sensor yet. I have now installed the O2 sensor, but have to get my temporary registration renewed so I can get out and drive it. How long/many miles does it take the computer to adjust ratios based off of the O2 readings? Also, is there anything else I should be checking/replacing in order to get my numbers down? Thanks in advance for the help. Also, just realized on the paperwork that the guy has it down as a 6 cylinder M6. Would that make any difference at all?

High CO means too much fuel is getting out of the engine without completely combusting. What condition is your car in mechanically? When's the last time she's had a full inspection and/or a tuneup? Now's the time if it's been awhile. The fluids, filters, valve lash, sensors, and ignition system components should all be inspected and replaced if deemed necessary by mileage/wear. You should also be sure the intake is free of vacuum leaks. These are common on all old cars and often cause crappy running.

I would imagine the 3.5L engine in the M6 gets to fart out more legal emissions than your 2.5L, so this error may be helping you instead of hurting you. Just guessing though.

Thanks for the insight EatsHondas. The car is in overall great mechanical condition, but I will take it in for a full inspection/tuneup to see if it could use anything.
