Cheapest and quickest way to raise redline?

Currently running stock m20 with rebuilt head on metric mechanic valve springs.
Final drive is 4.1 and running 205/50/15 tires.

Result: 2nd gear tops out at 47mph and I'm struggling at auto-x where typical speeds are around 35-70mph. I find myself shifting 2-3 throughout the whole course where other cars have a couple of shifts only. It's hurting my times.

Ultimate plan: stroker m20 with 7200 redline running on an MS3.

However, that's long term, short term, what's the easiest way to push the motronic to 7000 rpm on the cheap? I don't care if I'm not making power, just need a few more mph to get me to the next braking zone without a shift or riding the fuel cut.

When I swapped my 153 ECU to a 173 ECU, it came with a Dinan chip. Bumps the rev limiter to 7000rpm (I believe).
I haven't tested it as I don't trust my valvetrain.

I think you can get cheap Dinan knockoffs on eBay.

Why not switch to a 3.73 gear? A 4.10 with undersized tires is too short.

Otherwise contact SSSquid for a chip!

Mostly because I built a 4.1 with a Z3 torsen LSD and changing back to a 3.73 would be a bitch. I love the torque of the 4.1 and it's great for lapping. Also, like I said, my intention is to raise the redline past 7k with a rebuilt engine so I would fall back on a reasonable top speed in 2nd gear eventually.

I don't think my engine will ever make enough power that the 4.1 becomes an issue for putting it down. I just wish my first gear was a little longer like the m3.

Unless you have a lot of work done to the intake/exhaust/head the motor will run out of juice between 5700-6300. I've got a motor with that's cammed, rebuilt head, and long tube headers and it runs out of steam after 6k. It is something to consider. Having an extra 1k is nice, but might not be worth it. Also, with a 4.10 and a 7k redline you'll only get to 55mph before you have to shift.

I would chip the car and shift earlier honestly. More power to make up for that shift...

I've ordered a eBay chip that goes to 7k. That will hold me off until I megasquirt it.

I know I won't be making much power passed 6k, but I'll still be making more than 0 which is what I'm putting down while shifting.

Eventually with my stroker, and higher compression, 288 cam, head and intake work as well as exhaust, a 7200 redline will make sense.
