I put a 274 cam in my car. When doing a valve adjustment, should I stick with the stock specs?
Different valve clearance for cam?

Didn't come with a cam card from bimmerheads. There was no mention of adjusting any differently in there notes with the cam. So I assume its stock settings, but was curious if anyone has set them different based on the cam they use.Comment

ask them for a cam card, you should get a cam card with an aftermarket cam. you want to know what you're running and how it is supposed to be installed.89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

Interested in this too. I got a 284 from them in a head already and their basic head install paper mentioned stock gap (but no mention of instructions if using a larger cam).

Mostly likely they just install as per stock cam but advertised duration and peak lift tell only part of the story of what you should want to know when choosing and installing a cam.89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...
