Valve cover gasket leak after changing valve cover...

I changed my valve cover gasket about a month ago and I torqued it down the right amount and with the correct pattern but now it's leaking even worse. I went back to tighten it a little bit more and that didn't help at all. I know it's from the valve cover because the area around and under it has started to become oily, plus those cardboard things above the spark plugs (which are right under the valve cover) get covered in oil every time after a drive. What should I do?

when you first install them they will be a couple mm above the sealing surface. They squish to fit and seal. Once they are aged they become hard and don't seal as well because they aren't really squished down.

I use a bit of victor reinz grey sealer, on end plugs and also on gasket both sides, just to be sure :D :)

The gasket had that red trim throughout the middle of its edges. I think that's the sealer.

No sealer and the lip of the rocker plug goes on the inside of the head next to the shaft, I have seen them the outside a few times!!
