Need help on starter solenoid wires

Hi guys,

My solenoid is going bad and I bought a new one. But the new solenoid have only 3 bolts while the old one has 4.

I attached the solenoid to the starter motor and connected the wire. Now my problem is that the car has 3 wires (big black and big red and small black) and I don't know which wire/s goes to which bolts on the solenoid.

The car is 89 325i.

What I meant for bolts are terminals on solenoid. Has anyone done this?

The rings terminals are all sized differently so you can't screw them up. However see post #14 here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=182195

thanks for the link it helps a lot but what im going to do with unloader wire (black/green)?
