    Attempting chip swap

    Got my eBay chip and my ecu is crimped shut, even if I remove the four torx screws still can not pop open the cover . wtf, ecu ends in 525 from my 92 e30 3251 vert... I know I had opened an ecu on an 87 325e I had with no prob. This one appears to be a real pita..here are pics.

      first. dont buy chips from ebay. that's a big no no.
      second dont remove the torque's bolts.

      lastly learn how to google. it's been answer, show and now on video how to do a chip swap.

        First. Dont buy an ebay chip that hass never been reviewd before in any forum

          My 325es came with an ebay chip. I put the stock chip back in because I didn't want to run 91, but it was quite a noticeable difference. It's not like they don't work.

          The only thing shitty about ebay chips is that they are knock offs from the people who have put in the R&D, like Mark D, turner, or alpina or whatever. That's obviously not ok.

            Figured it out and installed it fine, waiting for weather to dry out to road test it and ass dyno check it out. Thanks.

              Tbh the only diffrence youll notice is the rpms are raised... but after that you shoudnt notice much unless you have an ultrasonic ass dyno
