    885 head swap wiring harness?

I have a 1985 325e that I'm getting ready to do an 885 head swap on. Can I use a harness from an ix? Both cars are 5 speed.

    Thanks

    Ben

idk but from what i understand u prob ok to go - not much of the drive train is electronicly controlled back in 85 by todays standards - for example im told an automatic harness will work for a manual trans car - this, my friend, is what im told,

Thanks for the help. Can anyone confirm? Found a good deal on an ix harness locally.

IX harnesses have two differences, the oil level sender and oil pressure sender connectors are longer. They are also usually more expensive, but I guess if you have one on hand... though you could sell, buy a normal one and pocket the difference. Maybe $50.

Thanks for the reply Kershaw. I haven't actually bought it yet, but a guy in town has one for $100. I'll just wait and find one from an i car.
