    Smog fail help

Bought a 1986 325es this weekend and I'm trying to get it registered and on the road. I just failed the emissions test, here are my numbers

So I've got a high NOx reading, and I also failed the fuel EVAP test. I've read that the engine running lean can cause high NOx readings, so I'm gonna start replacing vacuum lines first. Is there a way to test that the O2 sensor is reading correctly? Any advice from someone who's had these problems before? Thanks in advance.

    1.Vacuum lines
    2.O2 sensor
    3.Make sure ignition is good
    4.Sea foam treatment

My car failed the sniffer so I did all the things above and passed without a catalytic converter.

Damn.. So glad I live in a state now where I paid $7 for a 'classic car' inspection and just did a safety check and passed. Had this same nightmare before and did most of what member above me said & fixed the problem. Good luck!
