    Engine buck

Car feels fine until around 3500/4k rpm then it'll buck hard it's hard to explain. It'll buck like it loses power for a moment until I let off the gas i can see the tach bounce and the check engine light will flash for a moment. Usually happens in 2nd or 3rd gear. it used to happen once in a while now it's getting more frequent. Any suggestions?

Possibly your afm. One of my earlier cars had a dead spot in the potentiometer which caused severe bucking, eventually the whole thing died and it refused to idle as well.

does it happen under normal driving or only at full throttle?

Either way, go through this thread. All the diagnostics and parts you should check are in there. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=372569

It'll happen at anything over about 50% throttle. I know my timing belt is way overdue could that be related?
