    E30 head gasket

I just purchased a 1984 325e, its a one owner car but owner sold it bacuse it blew the head gasket and since he had another car did not need this one. So I need to take off the head to replace the head gasket. Now this is my question, since I have to take the head off anyway, should I try to get an I head to swap in to get the extra hp? What parts are needed for such a swap? My plans in the future are to swap in an m6x engine but would like to fix the m20 and drive the car while I gather all the m6x swap parts.

Fix what you have and drive it, first.

    Unless the head's trashed.
