    Fuel injector electrical connection... Help!

In the process of replacing fuel injectors.
I am trying to disconnect the main wire at the circular connection on drivers side.
The bottom part will unscrew no problem, but I can't figure out how to take the top part out.

    Help!

Do you mean the C191 plug and socket under the intake manifold ?

If so, it just screws open but they can get sticky when grit gets into the plastic thread. Use 2 pairs of channel locks to open it if you need to - be careful not to pull the wiring around, they have a habit of breaking off from the plug pins if they're corroded.

      Yes, that's the plug.
There are two parts to this plug, the part coming from the injector rail, and the part going to the Motronic.
I can unscrew the bottom part, which goes to the Motronic, and that hangs down completely disconnected.
What remains is the wire coming from the injector rail. It is held into a bracket and I can't figure out how to remove it from the bracket.

My guess is there is a plastic ring collar that unscrews to release the plug from the bracket...it is similar in configuration to the plug to the oxygen sensor

Yes there's a plastic ring under the mounting bracket that you need to unscrew. You may want to gently use some slip joint pliers.

              Emphasis on "Gently"!!!!
Not fun to fix when the wires break at the pins

THANK YOU! I was struggling with getting the electrical rail out of the way and couldn't figure out how to get if off that bracket. Seems so obvious after its done. BTW, I found accessing the ring from underneath, from the front easiest. Mine unscrewed with little force.
