help - replacing 80a euro alternator

I need to replace the Bosch 80a alternator (p/n 120 469 757 759) on my 1988 320i Touring. Since this is a Bosch alternator, unlike the US market 80a alternators, would a 90a Bosch alternator for a US market 325i be a direct fit replacement?

I've done some internet searching and all the results are related to upgrading the US spec Valeo alternator. I can't find any mention of a Bosch 80a alternator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Cory

    A 90amp from a 325i should fit your 320i. 325e/es have 80 amp alternators.

Thanks! Just saw your response. I took a chance after not getting any immediate responses and bought a Bosch rebuilt 90a alternator. I switched over the pulley and fan from the old alternator and it bolted right up.
