anyone ever have their timing belt rub on the timing cover? sounds like a belt chirp, not all the time but it annoys me when it happens.

nvm i finally found some answers, ill try throwing a new belt and tensioner on it and see if it goes away -
happened to me and grenaded my engine. it ended up being the oil pump drive gear bolt came loose and the belt was cocked to the side, wore a groove in the cover before finally skipping a tooth on the timing gear
