    High Idling Temp...

Hello - I was looking at my temp gauge and noticed it was between 3/4 and red. Current air temp is 95F. I had been sitting in a stop and go traffic jam for nearly 25 min. Once I got going gauge went back to a hair over 1/2. Should I be looking at the temp sensor? Or expected given the circumstances? Appreciate any insight!

Mmm...It looks like the temp sensor is doing its job....how old is your water pump and hoses? I'd also check if your electric auxiliary fan and fan clutch are working as they should.
You can throw a bottle of Water Wetter in there during the hottest months for piece of mind. (hard to determine that in Florida right? lol)

Water pump is new, replaced with timing belt 3 months ago.
I'll check on the fan, and look into water wetter. Thanks!

87% of the time a high idle temp is your fan clutch. If your ac is on and the aux fan isn't working your ac won't cool but that shouldnt cause a major rise in engine temp.

Your cooling system should hold its own. Any dea hold old the radiator is and do you have a fan shroud ?
