ETA Rough Idle When Cold. What gives?

1985 325e, with ~150K on it. Totally stock. Runs rough on startup, then smooths out when warm. Replaced the coolant temp sensor. Valve Adjustment is next on the list.

    What else could it be?

Could be a few things. First thing I would check would be for air leaks.

Also check your plug gap. On a 325e, the spec is .028"-.032". A narrow gap can cause a rougher idle as well. If the gap is at the wider range, the idle will be more steady.
