    Throttle body stud snapped

Throttle body stud snapped on me, was torquing it to 15ft/lbs and it sheered off. Using that same torque wrench I also snapped a driveline bolt Not touching that torque wrench again, good thing I have 3 of them. Anyways anybody happen to know where I can get a new stud, going to check the local hardware stores here during the next few days but I never seem to get lucky.

Personally, I generally don't bother with a torque wrench if it's under about 40ft/lbs. "Gutentite" is close enough - it's a throttle body, not a piston rod or a wheel bolt. :)

Where in WA do you live? I bet you can find something at Ace Hardware. Farm/Country stores also seem to carry lots of stuff. Don't waste your time with Home Depot or Lowes unless you want to leave frustrated and angry..

You can always cut the head off of a bolt to make a stud.
