    m20b23 e30 323i Sport

    I have a spare m20b25 and a m20b23 from an e30

I need more info about the b23 motor....

whats the stroke? and I hear the b23 cam is hotter, but like what? What's the differences between the b23 and the b25 (besides the obvious displacement)? I've searched and read but i just cant figure out all the answers i need. I can also get eta parts for cheap, so if indeed the best setup is to use eta parts, i can get a hold of a b27, but i want to avoid that route.

What could I make out of these, since i have both of these right now at my disposal?

All-Red/MHW style Professional Tinted Tail lights
PnP EMS, fuel injectors, wideband o2 systems

b23 runs on l-jet, has a mechanical dizzy, different piston shape and head, they run about 9.7:1 CR thats all i can think of at the moment

b23 is pretty old engine (Jetronic). I am positive that camshaft is not that very special, head is same as in b20 engine - small ports and valves. The difference between m20b20 and m20b23 is only STROKE. Anyway, IMHO both engines are crap :)
      Go for m20b25.

M20b23 has longer stroke than m20b25.

The b23 crank with b25 block, pistons(machined) and rods would create ~2,6l strong torquing stroker.

Compared to b20 and b25 the b23 has very diffrent nature, it has much smoother power curve, and not much of that 4200 rpm kick.
        Current:

        BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
        BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
        BMW 320i 4d 2,2 m54 -01
