    Valve cover brand preference?

Which valve cover gasket are we liking this year?

    febi
    VICTOR REINZ
    OEM for $43 ?!
    rein
    others?

And what are the D end plugs called? Not showing up in a valve cover search for some reason.

    Thanks.

i use OE as i like the textured /embossed surface that conforms well. i use a very thin coat of non hardening aviation cement stuff for extra security

I've given up on valve cover gaskets. They have all failed me. I put the end plugs in but use The Right Stuff gasket maker in place of a gasket.

Are you guys finding issues with air leaks?

digger - which surface do you put it on? How hard to scrape off each time?

          Thanks -

i don't know about air leaks via the gasket but mine vents to atmosphere via the breather...

i apply to all 4 surfaces with the little brush and rub it in spread it around with fingers (rubber gloves) it basically wipes off with carby cleaner and elbow grease but its not hard, thats why i dont use anything else the cleanup is too painful

without a gasket you wanna be careful the cover doesn't get hung up on the rocker shaft lock, it can also happen with a gasket of the lock is not pressed home 100% correctly
