New Timing Belt Is "Walking"

Getting back to work on this...

Turns out the oil pump pulley was just in backwards. yes I am an idiot.

I was thrown off by this dowel that realOEM had on their diagram for the engine but I now believe that is for the old pinch-weld type gear and not the newer one like I have. I really hope this thread saves someone else the headache I had.

Good to hear its sorted. Aren't you glad you didn't waste your money on buying another new timing belt in line with what was suggested.

I haven't gotten the car fully back together and driving. Will report back when I am done.

I only drove the car twice before taking it apart to do all the maintenance, so I won't really know if it made a difference.

The car has 170k+ miles on it and mostly everything is original, so I didn't want to be driving it when everything is so old/in need of refreshing.

On another note...

This thread (https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=266708) is what helped me realize that I didn't need the dowel that I thought I did.
